After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986, Jamie returned to his hometown of Canton, Ohio, and co-founded the retail store, Miller & Son’s with his father, Harley. While facing his father’s health issues and economic challenges that led to a business bankruptcy for Miller & Sons and a personal bankruptcy for his father, Jamie gained valuable insights into the treatment of debtors within the bankruptcy system.
This experience led to his decision to go back to school, earning a law degree from the University of Miami and focus on a career helping people in financial distress. After graduation, Jamie and his wife Felicia returned to Milwaukee, Felicia’s hometown, where they established Miller & Miller law. Jamie is married to longtime community volunteer and former Jewish community professional, attorney Felicia Miller.
